Marietta Magic : a theatre tradition

Every year, the theatre department holds a fundraising event that focuses on directly reaching kids in the community: a princess tea party. All tea parties have different themes, typically based on recently released popular kids’ movies. This year, the tea party was based on the new Inside Out 2 movie, with Kamille Rajahn (12) playing Joy and Rosie Schroeter (12) playing Sadness. Throughout the performance put on for the kids, Joy introduces characters like Prince Eric and Moana, and they sing pieces from their respective movies. Before the performance, children in attendance were given juice and cupcakes as students from the department greeted them in costume and read them fairy tales. Afterward, the characters meet with the kids again to take pictures and say goodbye. Overall, it is a magical event that successfully raises money for the program and provides a fun event for children of the community.
