Slap and Serve
One of the teams in the MHS Food Truck Wars was Slap and Serve. This team served pulled pork, chicken, mac & cheese, and cornbread.
“The mac & cheese was the most difficult to make,” Iveyhana Gaithns (12th) said.
Romel Broisrond said that his favorite part of the food truck process was cooking with his group mates and serving the community. This team worked hard to make their food remind people of home.
Cielo Mexicano
Another team was Cielo Mexicano. This team served delicious esquites that helped show the uniqueness of their group.
“We decided this by reflecting on the differences between the cultural religions and setting with our similarities,” Angie Ochoa said.
She said that the team faced disagreement. However, they enjoyed bonding with each other and trusting the process. And their hard work paid off because the result turned out to be a delicious symbol of teamwork.
