Petal to Plate
Petal to Plate, a vibrant food truck with trendy sweets, took this event by storm. Marianna Tassin, Juan Murcia, Angie Ochoa, & Ameena Marshariki Davis were responsible for the impressive set up and aesthetic branding of the truck, along with fluffy Dubai chocolate pancakes and strawberry milkshakes.
“Working together to make something cute and delicious,” Marianna Tassin (12) said. She also said how this was the group’s favorite part of the process.
“The Pistachio Paste was the most difficult to make,” Angie Ochoa (11) said. Despite challenges, the group was still able to achieve their main goal, making treats for attendees to enjoy.
Above all, guests couldn’t get enough of these sugary delicacies. Determination and team work made this truck’s cuisine pleasing to the eye and mouth.
The Devil’s Street Food
The Devil’s Street Food brought delicious cultural cuisine to the Food Truck War. Their group prepared savory Korean fried chicken sandwiches, and brought a new type of gastronomy to Marietta High School. Travis Walker, Miles Turner, & Kaden Means worked hard to make their sandwiches a hit. Group members said they thought of making Korean food because of its current popularity, which tremendously paid off.
“The chicken was the most difficult to make,” Turner (11) said. He also expressed that their favorite part of the design process was making slaw for the sandwiches. The team agreed that they wouldn’t change anything about the process.
Through this experience, Travis, Miles, and Kaden learned how to prepare this mouthwatering dish, an experience that can be taken past high school, and into adulthood.
