Polleen Coates is an IB Career-Related Pathway candidate at Marietta High School. She has just begun her junior year, and is co-Social Media Manager for Marietta’s newspaper, The Pitchfork. Polleen has always been an active member of the Marietta Community, being a member and Leadership representative of MFL (Mentoring for Leadership), a Be Somebody Orientation Leader, Beta Club, FCA, a Cards with Compassion Leadership Representative, and Secretary of the National Honors Society. She is also a varsity basketball cheerleader. She enjoys working as a Sunday school teacher at the Kenyan American Community Church,  as well as spending her free time cooking, running, reading, or spending time with her friends and family. In the future, Polleen is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field and possibly specializing in pediatrics.
