Steve Lacy, an American record producer, singer and song writer started pursuing his dream from a very young age. Born in 1998 in Compton, California, Steve Lacy discovered his love for music when he was just seven years old, specifically his love for the guitar. Not stopping there, Lacy continued to bring his love for music with him throughout high school by helping produce eight albums at the age of 17, these albums lead to Lacy getting nominated for a Grammy for best urban contemporary album. At the age of 19 he went on to produce Kendrick Lamar’s song, “Pride.” The album won a Grammy and Lacy produced the entire thing on an iPhone 6.
