Malcolm Todd, born Sept. 15, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, began making music as a teenager, posting bedroom-pop demos online and teaching himself guitar while balancing everyday jobs. Taking inspiration from artists like Steve Lacy and Dominic Fike, he spent a few short years moving from small bedroom sessions to major-label recordings, earning viral hits and eventually a full studio album.
He first gained major attention in 2023 when his singles “Art House” and “Roommates” went viral on social media, leading him to a record deal with Columbia records.
In April 2025, he dropped his debut studio album Malcolm Todd, making a name for himself in the indie-pop and alternative scene. The lead single “Chest Pain (I Love)” reached Billboard Hot 100, marking his first-ever entry on that chart.
